Vintage Photo Restoration

They say a picture is worth a thousand words – doesn’t her smile speak volumes? Elaine Withers is 86 years old. She only had one baby photo and it was extremely discolored and damaged.

As part of the UCLA Extension Design Communication Art program, we had to take a distressed photo and retouch it to make it look new and add color. It took a lot of time and effort but I restored this photo to a quality that brought her joy. Watch the photo transform right before you eyes. Better yet, see her reaction to the restored photo!
